Garden 6-9-2018 Everything Planted

I was late in planting my garden due to the cold weather and didn’t get started until the end of April and just finished planting a few herbs last week. Last week we didn’t get any rain, which meant watering the garden every day. I was glad to see that we have some rain this week, it beats not having to water the garden every day.

It’s nice to have fresh basil for pizza and fried eggs.
The purple perilla came up from last year’s seeds. It’s an herb and some would eat it with summer rolls or meat dish. I don’t like the aroma and only left it in the garden because of its beautiful purple color.
I spend most of my evenings in the garden, otherwise, the weeds will take over. I have to say that the best time to photograph the garden is early morning, making the most of the natural light.
The chili peppers are beautiful, surprisingly it doesn’t have as many flowers this year.
Which means fewer peppers as well.
Okras
String beans
Chayote
Asian variety beans (tour phou)
I finally get to plant the lemongrass and lemon basil last week.
These are the bare-root dwarf fruit trees from Stark Bro’s that I purchased last year. I planted 3 Apple trees and 1 Hosui Asian Pear tree.

I love my garden gloves, couldn’t garden without them.
