Jay’s HS Graduation Party

We went to Bo’s nephew’s graduation party yesterday.  Bo is very proud of Jay, he was the class president in his senior year, won prom king, and recently came in first place for a teen bodybuilding competition.

Money is the gift of choice for a Laotian party.

There’s plenty of food.

Bo’s mom is a great cook and made many delicious Lao dishes yesterday.

I made the spring rolls.

Ice cream cake

I’m sure this is a proud moment for his grandma, Jay is the youngest of the 3 boys to go off to college.

Lee is getting a piece of the ice cream cake.

Photos were taken with 5DMkIII, and Canon 24-105mm f/4L lens.

    1. Hi Dallas, my kind of party also. At a party like this is the only time I get to take authentic Lao food photo. I know yours is for a different reason from mine. 🙂

  1. Congrats to Jay!

Btw, that Kaopoon bowl is too small for my liking – but I guess you have to make room for all the other good stuff. 😉

    1. Hi cn, I have to prepare all my bowls in a small version since I have to eat them after taking the photos. The foods were great. 🙂
