End of 2012

I hope it’s not too late to write a post for the last week of 2012.  As I have mentioned in my previous post that I was very sick, and my second sister had asked me to go buy a car with her on December 27th.  The thought of getting $100 bird feed money is not such a bad idea, so I dragged myself out of bed.  My oldest sister took the picture below, and I’m surprised that I look a lot shorter than my dad in this picture, I stood next to the van. I guess I slouched since I didn’t feel too well.  My sister was very happy with her new van, she purchased a 2013 Sienna XLE Silver Sky Metallic.

I asked the salesman about the bird feed money again, and he said that he would check with his boss.  The thought of taking my sister there to buy a car and getting $100 is not such a bad deal. I was very happy, and not drooling by the way.

The salesman came back and said that they have a special program that if we were to bring a friend to buy a car, they would cut a check of $100, it’s called dog feed money.  He turned to look at me and said “like the $100 you are getting.” You should have seen the look on my face, dog feed money? The salesman is also Laotian by the way.

    • Hi Seeharhed, I didn’t know there is such a thing as 6 months free car wash, I have to ask the next time we go buy a new car. It might be a few more years before any of us will be in the market for a new car. With the newer car, the first oil change is 10,000 miles, so it will be a while before she’ll need her oil change. This will be a good travel van for all of us.

    • Hi Dallas, it sounds so much better if they were to call it a referral fee. I didn’t get the bird feed, but that’s what they told Bo when he bought his truck, and now they called it dog feed, sounds awful imo.

I didn’t get much rest towards the end of the year trying to meet Dec.31st deadline, I have to manage my time better this year.

  1. […] finally received my dog feed check in the mail yesterday for taking my sister to buy a new van on December 27th.  They called it Bird Dog Feed, which sounds kind of funny to me. Bo was making fun of me and drew […]
