Lee and I have been wanting to make homemade pizza for awhile and the first batch was awful. I think it looked more like pan pizza rather than a normal homemade pizza. We have come a long way since then, and have gotten a lot better, but I still don’t know how to toss pizza dough in the air like the pro. For the pizza dough we used 1 1/2 cups warm water, 1 package of active dry yeast, 3 1/2 cups bread flour, 2 Tbsp olive oil, 2 teaspoons salt, and 1 teaspoon sugar. We have some left over dough that we keep in the refrigerator, and it’s good for several days.

We used Mozzarella and Parmesan cheese. for topping.

Lee wanted to make a square pizza similar to Biltmore.

We put cooked bacon right before it’s done, this is her new favorite pizza topping.

Mine didn’t turn out too bad. I’m thinking about investing in a pizza stone, I want my pizza crust to be crusty.

And I made Tum Mak Houng (Spicy papaya salad) as a side salad. It actually goes together well.

Max didn’t get any, as you can see he’s not too happy.

pizza and papaya salad?
Dallas, I thought it makes perfect sense, American serve pizza with salad, and I’m Lao serving pizza with a Lao salad. 🙂
