My dad survived living by himself at the campground for the whole week, in fact I think he loved it there. We joined him again last weekend, I think camping is more fun when you have a good company. The next week or so will be extremely busy for us, I hope to bring back plenty of photos to share.

The green in the background is actually a golf course, which I have not noticed before until now. It’s too bad that none of us are golfers.
My niece and Lee are 2 years apart, Lee has gotten a lot taller this year.
I’m not sure if these mushrooms are eatable.
My niece modeled next to the mushrooms for me, as you can see they are huge.
I spotted an Airstream Bambi near the pond area.
I do love the classic look.
We saw a nice cabin for sale by owner. The sign at the window read that they will trade with a Class A or Class C RV. We have a Class C that we could trade, but not sure if I would like to stay in one place. The best part about having an RV is being able to go places and I’m glad that the gas price has come down some in the last week or so.
Rest stop at the soda machine.
This time we grilled corn on the cob.
As for our lunch, this looks more like camping at the beach, but nope still at the mountain.
This is one of Lee’s favorite dishes.
My niece is having a hard time.
This seems to work better for my dad.
Ice cream for dessert.
This is the life, we do love camping.
All photos were taken with Canon T2i and EF 24-105mm f/4L IS USM lens.
What a lovely place for camping, no wonder that you are enjoying it. What does ” Class A or Class C RV.” mean?
Hi Giiid, sorry for the late reply, I was away on vacation. The place is nice, still has a lot of nature and that’s what we like. The class A looks like a tour bus, and a class C looks like a truck with camper in back, here are the pictures of the different class.
Thank you Ginger, that was very interesting and also impressing to see them inside. Must be fun to travel that way.
Hi Giiid, it’s a small living space and very convenience when we have to travel. It costs a lot on gas but the good part is that we don’t have to pay for hotel or room and boarding and it’s a huge saving overall.
You guys sure are eating well for camping out in the woods. I like how your dad smash that crab leg with “sark”. Have fun this coming weekend up in VA.
seeharhed, we do enjoy the great outdoor. We went camping in VA and back to Green Mountain toward the end of the week and just got back. I do have many photos to post, including the temple photos and videos. I think Lee and my dad enjoyed the crab legs the most.
Such gorgeous photos Nye! All look tremendously happy. You may make me even decide to try camping…especially if I was eating crab. 🙂
Thanks Geni, it’s nice to spend time with family and we do love the great outdoor. I’m sure you’ll pack great food for your trip. 🙂
So green – a nice place – and your family enjoyed it. I wonder how fast Lee is growing? My son (14) is growing 1½ cm each month for a long time now. 1-2 years ago he was one of the smallest boys in that age in his school………
Hi Truels, it’s green and beautiful up in the mountain. I’m not sure how fast Lee is growing, I’m thinking that I will have to start measuring her progress. If projecting her height based on her 2nd birthday and multiply that by 2, she was 35.5 inch tall, so we are looking at 5 feet 11 inches, that’s tall. It’s a good chance that she will reach that since my nephew is 6 feet 4 inches tall.
I can see why your dad likes in the mountains, must be much cooler up there amongst the tall trees.
That mushroom is really neat and pretty. It would be nice if it’s the edible kind. But I’m sure your food supply is well stocked.
Good company + good food = happy life. 🙂
Hi cn, it’s a lot cooler up there and life is more laid-back. We went back this weekend and the mushroom was gone so I’m not sure if someone ate it or just cleaned it up. I’m glad I get to spend more time with my family this year, my only regret is that we didn’t do this sooner, my mom would have enjoyed camping also.
I was in Alpharetta, Ga and was really thinking about driving two hours to NC, but it was too rainy. Hopefully I will run into you one day. 😉
Hi lady0fdarkness, you are not too far from us at all, if I ran into you first I hope I will recognize you. 🙂
