Saturday Random Photos

Patch is back, don’t you think he is a chick magnet.

His only drawback is that he is a biter.

And the girls love and fear of him at the same time.

So he ended up walking himself.

Lee was afraid to come out and play.

Perhaps a treat from his owner might calm him down.

Bo was trying to discipline him, not sure if he understood the lecture.

My niece agreed to levitate for me today, but for a small fee.Β  I can’t believe my model is getting expensive, it was $5 for less than 5 minutes of jumping.Β  I made her jump longer than normal, it’s a good exercise. πŸ˜‰

I live less than 10 miles from my dad and the cold frosty night last week didn’t do any damage to my garden, but I can’t say the same about my dad’s garden. I think it might be that I have big trees in my backyard and my dad’s backyard sits on top of a hill, perhaps it might be colder in his area also.

My sister didn’t cover up the cucumber plants because it was so windy the night of the frost, and several didn’t make it and the ones that did don’t look too good.

The snow peas don’t look too good either.

The ones in the raised bed are doing okay and I heard that it is because the raised bed collects heat during the daytime and is warmer at night.

My dad’s Asian corns finally sprouted.

The Thai eggplant and chili pepper seedlings took a growth spurt, finally.

This might look better close up but I want my oldest sister to see how tall this rosebush has gotten. I planted it years ago, it is at least 15 year old.

More flowers from my dad’s front yard.

I do wish that I have a macro lens, it would be so neat to see a bug’s life.

All photos were taken with Canon T2i, and EF 24-105mm f/4L IS USM lens.

  1. Patch just needs a good supply of chew sticks! πŸ™‚ He’s just a baby and he’s got new teeth coming in!!! And I am so sorry for the cold weather that damaged your plants, it was all so perfect and beautiful. All your dad’s flowers are magnificent of course! So beautiful! Thanks for the pictures! Cissy in Texas

    • Hi Cissy, my sister thought she bought him some chewing sticks, 3 for $10 and he ate it in minutes. The girls has to dress better and carry chewing toys with them, he loves to play and had a good play time on Saturday. Hopefully the weather will improve as we head into May. Thanks for your visit and lovely comment. πŸ™‚

  2. This year weather has been a little strange compare to the past. Let’s hope it will not effect this year produces, otherwise we all might see the price changes at the grocery. Love all those bokeh..

    • seeharhed, I guess our Winter was mild and Spring came a bit too early in most parts of the country. The price is driven by supply and demand, and good chance that we will have to pay more this Summer.

  3. Lovely random photos!

Patch is a total cutie. And active puppy too. I like dogs and most people I know have dogs. They are so smart. But I do better with cats because they are quiet and more independent. And you don’t need to take them for a walk. πŸ˜‰

    • CN, cats do take care of themselves and having dog is a good thing, you at least get some exercise when you take them for a walk. Patch is smart and a fast learner, the girls are attached to him now. πŸ™‚

  4. I think Patch is a cutie, too. With a little teaching and growth, he’ll learn to be more careful.

The weather has played havoc with the Apple and Cherry trees up here, too. All the warm weather early this Spring and now below freezing temperatures over the last few days has damaged a lot of trees.

    • Hi Scott, Patch has many teachers and I’m afraid that they will spoil him rotten.

I don’t think we will have a good crops this year and this will drive up the price of fresh fruits and it is expensive as is.

  5. Patch is completely irresistible. That is why you must be firm with him. As you have correctly assessed, no one else will. Being a Mom is tough. But what an adorable little miscreant he is.

    • Gerry, he is a fast learner and when he sees the girls it’s play time for him. I just hope that they don’t spoil him rotten. My sister Bee has her hands full, she has several dogs at one time and all passed away except for one that has 3 legs, and now Patch is just a puppy. It’s a good thing that she has a big backyard for him to roam.
