This is going into the tenth week of rice planting.  The hot and humid weather made some of the rice pods mature faster.

I can tell the types of rice by looking at the rice pods now and this is white rice.

The ones that were planted late are still very young.

These are purple sticky rice, the pods are deed purple.

I had to work late again and didn’t get to visit the paddy until after 6:30pm  (18:30).  I didn’t see that many dragonflies hovering over the paddy.  I spotted the green one right before I left and didn’t get a very clear shot. I checked my camera LCD screen and wasn’t happy with it, and by the time I looked up it was gone.

This is definitely a season for the Rooster Comb flower, and it attracts bees and butterflies.

This baby robin left the nest a little too early.  It barely could fly and I spotted it by my driveway.

  1. Love the bokeh of last 5 pictures. I’ve been so lazy lately, it is been about 3 weeks now since I last touch my camera. I need to start practicing soon, I’ll be taking a lot of pictures in coming weeks.

    • seeharhed, practice is the only way to get better and a good way to learn your camera. I was very happy with our family vacation photos, I finally put this into good use. 🙂
