Summer Time Fun

Karma’s When I Feel Like It Blog is having another photo scavenger hunt for August.  This time she is not asking for any specific items to hunt for but she is looking for a photo for each of the prominent rainbow colors: red, orange, yellow, green, blue and purple.  Each photo should show something specific to summertime. Bonus: a self-portrait of you in the summertime! The due date is Sunday, August 28th and I hope you will join.

I think I might have gotten lucky in this image, we visited Cool Park Pool yesterday morning.

There was one dude there that I had to take a second look.  He was dressed in a lady’s swimming suit and painted his fingernails hot pink. As you can see that he is bald headed and even sitting cross legged in the pool.

Lee likes to jump off from the rock.

She made some splash.

I’m glad that we have a pool close to home especially for some of us that don’t have our own swimming pool.  It’s $14 for adult and $7 for children to get in.  The best time is to get there early when it is not too crowded.

The slide was a lot of fun, I did a couple rounds myself.

This is my first time there, but several times for Lee.  She came with the summer camp and daycare in the past.

  1. I guess the weirdo is everywhere now a day, I thought is mostly west coast thing. hahahhaha I’m surprise they let him the pool in your part of country.

The admissions seem to be expensive for me. But, looks like Lee is having a blast.

    • seeharhed, I guess they knew him or something. I think he might be a regular there. One of the ladies there wore the same bathing suit and she wasn’t happy that he has the same taste as her, Lol.

It’s half price if you go after 3pm on a weekday. I think it’s pricey also, but cheaper than us having to maintain our own pool and not to mention that we might get uninvited visitors also. The place looks decent and clean and have been in the business for a long, long time.

    • Hey seeharhed, the west coast is great because of our diversity. And I’m glad to see they didn’t ban the man with the nail polish.

NC is really becoming a progressive state. Everyone deserves to be happy. And it’s good for the kids to understand what it means to be tolerant and accepting of each other. Might be the most exciting thing they saw all day. JK. 😉

    • Jeffrey, this is something to keep her busy, it gets pretty boring in the summer hanging around the house.

    • Thanks Geni, surprisingly it’s one of the favorite places that she likes to visit. It’s nice to see kid being a kid and this gives me a chance to be a kid again. 🙂

  2. This is the perfect place to go with the extremely hot & humid summer. I’m happy to hear you were not afraid to give the water slide a try. 🙂

And you caught some great photos of Lee. Love the giant beach ball photo too.

    • Cambree, I have to bring my sisters and dad back there again, I think they would love it. They even have a place where you could grill in the shaded area. The water slide was fun, Lee and I came down holding legs one time and it ended up she was sitting on my neck when we got down there. It’s a good thing she is not that big. 🙂

  3. Lee looks to be staying cool and enjoying the summer.

Remember, I think karma was looking for a separate photo for each color not one photo with each of the colors. LOL Then again, why not?

    • Scott, would be neat to capture a rainbow for her assignment, but that would be too easy or might have to wait forever for a rainbow. 🙂

Hanging out by the pool is definitely a way to stay cool this summer. It is extremely hot and humid in NC.
