We decided to visit Animal Kingdom the day after Christmas. It was cloudy, occasionally drizzled and extremely cold. We got to the park early, still went by the North Carolina time so we were one hour ahead of everyone. The lines weren’t that long and Lee decided to take a picture with Lilo & Stitch.

It was so cold that at this point I wasn’t sure if we would stay all day, going inside to see the show was the only way to stay warm that day. We saw Finding Nemo – the Musical in the morning.

Lee loved the rides.

She didn’t get to ride on this high speed roller coaster.

This is in the Asia section. The boat is one similar to a boat house in Thailand where I saw on TV that a family of 5 or 6 can live in this.

I think this is a real Bodhi tree, I’ve not seen one this big since I was in Laos 2 years ago.

I love the bird show, great photo opportunity to photograph the birds up close.
Behind is the tree of life, we saw the show inside.

My favorite is the Killimajaro Safaris. The ride in a rugged open-sided safari vehicle was so neat and we got to see the exotic animals of Africa up close.
Looks like Lee enjoyed her time at Disney. I guess you guys must of caught the cold weather that week because everybody has jackets on.
My niece, nephew, and their parents are going back to Disney World this coming spring break.
Nice pictures as always.
Thanks seeharhed. I think Lee would have enjoyed more if it’s warmer since she likes the swimming pool, I guess we weren’t as lucky but good thing that it didn’t rain on us the whole time we were there, just a bit cloudy and sprinkled.
Spring break would be perfect to visit and I would imagine that it will be very crowded also but at least it’s nice and warm.
Lee is a very lucky girl!
I would love to hang out at the Animal Kingdom too…. there’s even a baby elephant.
Cambree, I wish the weather was warmer, Lee has ideas of going places now and I told her to save up. 🙂
It’s nice to hang out with the animals, they are so pleasant to be around. We’ll definitely have to visit the Riverbanks Zoo in the spring.
I take the most photos at Disney in this park. Glad you got to see the Lion King show as I think it’s the best at WDW.
Oh, and you got a photo of the cheetahs! I only have gotten to see them sitting up only once in all my times on the safari. Oh, and that goes for the lions, too. 🙂
I enjoyed seeing your WDW trip, Nye. Hopefully, the next to you get to go it will be much warmer.
Thanks Scott. The vehicle didn’t stop very long and I wasn’t sure if I got a clear shot, I’m glad that they turned out well especially the cheetahs.
I was impressed with the shows, seeing the photos of WDW at your blog made it easier for me to spot things or what to expect. It was cold but we really had a great time. 🙂
