I was able to capture this morning sunrise, time-lapse video to come here is my time-lapse video, came straight out from my camera. π
All photos were taken on a Manual Mode with an EF 24-105mm f/4L IS USM lens, f/22, 1/8sec, ISO 100, focal length 45mm, tripod mounted, time started 7:24 am ended 7:33 am.
Brilliant! Stunning!
Thanks Jeffrey, it’s amazing to see such a transformation from just a few minutes.
Amazing photos! Well done.
Have a nice day, Boonie
Hi Boonie, thanks. Itβs nature at its best. π
Oh, will look for the time-lapse. Got a question for you. Where are you metering to get your exposures as the light changed?
Hi Scott, I left it at 1/8 the whole time as it happened so fast and when I tried to meter at Biltmore the transition didn’t flow very smoothly. I think in this case it was ok since the images naturally get lighter as the sunrises.
When I load the images to my computer it wouldn’t tell me the EV when I shoot on Manual Mode. But I knew it started out at -, then shifted to +1 towards the end.
Beautiful.
Thanks lady0fdarkness, I wish I could have stood there longer but had to leave for work also.
What a gorgeous, gorgeous sunrise.
Geni, I always keep an eye out for the morning horizon, I think it faded too fast.
Beautiful, beautiful morning shots.
Did you press the bytton for each picture or is it a feature in your camera?
Carsten, there is a feature in my camera that I can set for example 5 or 6 sec but I didn’t think to use it at the time. I was just thinking about getting a few shots and I saw a pattern and thought it would be good to do time lapse photography. I ended up standing there and pressing the button. I have a remote control now, can’t wait to use it. π
