A Special Birthday Guest: Bozo the clown

Today is Lee’s birthday and she was greeted at the bus stop by Bozo the clown.

Some of our neighbors didn’t know how to react and one lady didn’t recognize who it was behind that clown outfit. I think even Max thought it was funny.

Lee is testing out her new birthday gift, smile for the camera.

Bo did all the makeup himself. 🙂

  1. Congratulations with your beautiful little girl. How did you get the idea about the clown, is it normal to dress up for birthdays, or is it your own idea all alone? Anyway it is a very nice and colorful clown, with a perfect make up. So sweet of you to do for Lee. And I see she got a Nintendo DSi? Useful for both children – and grown ups 🙂 We have a fun play called something like “Brain age”.

    • Hi giiid, thanks on behalf of Lee. It was Lee’s wish for her dad to dress up as a clown on her birthday, and this will be his Halloween custom also. In the US, they usually have a clown at children’s birthday party but Lee never had one, this is her fist and we didn’t have a party but we took her out to eat last night. I think it’s a nice surprise for her to be greeted by a clown at the school bus stop. Her gift is a Nintendo DSi XL, they came out with a bigger screen and math learning built in. This is also good for her to practice on her math skill.

  2. A Belated Happy Birthday to Lee! These pics are terrific. How many years??? Does it seem possible? NO! Max looks skeptical and then it looks like he “knows” Bozo. Just precious. Love, AEC

    • Hi Audrey, thanks. She is 9 year old, it seems like yesterday when she was born. They all had fun playing outside that day. 🙂

  3. Congratulations to Lee. -Although I’m a little late.
She looks very happy and beautiful in the picture.
Dad and daughter – so nice and colorful. Be sure to keep it for her. Make a print before the bits are gone.

    • Carsten, thanks. I do need to print these for her album and it would be a happy memory to flip back to for sure. 🙂

  4. Happy 9th birthday to Miss Lee! 🙂

I see a new young photographer practicing her skills while Bozo and Max is her first subject.

This is too cute and puts a big smile on my face. The clown make-up is just as impressive!

    • Hi Cambree, this is more fun for her than her normal point and shoot since she could edit and do slide show with her photos. Bo is too funny, he’ll have fun giving out Halloween candies in the clown outfit for sure. 🙂

    • Jeffrey, thanks. Bo is not a very scary clown thought, I just hope that he doesn’t scare any kids on Halloween. 🙂
