  1. Lovely video and photographs. I definitely have to have some videos like these on my Laos blog!

    Nicely done Nye.

    • Hi Jeffrey, thanks. I got lucky that I found a seat in the front row. You are welcome to use anything that you see here at your blog. 🙂

  2. The dresses are so colorful and the girls beautiful. Will be back to watch the video. The arm and hand positions add to the beauty.

The richness of human cultures never ceases to amaze me.

    • Hi Scott, I didn’t take as many pictures this year but I think the video more than made up for it. 🙂

  3. Hi Nye,

This would be one of my favorite performances to see too. They are very talented ladies!

I also love the girls colorful outfits. I have an outfit similar to the lady on the far left. She also appears on the last photo. I also think the blue & yellow sihn is really pretty too.

I will also have to be back and watch the rest of the videos. Thanks for sharing this event with all of us. 🙂

    • Cambree, it was a great performance and the colorful outfits are the fabric of our lives. This is an obvious that our culture is rich with traditions and I’m happy to see that it’s still being preserved by the younger generations. The young ladies are extremely talented and they look so beautiful in the Lao traditional outfits.

  4. Nice nye!!! I just wish the girl in the pink would smile some more!! But the dances are lovely!!! Their hands are very nice too! I’ve learn that from dancing (during my traditional dancing days) the dance is all in the hands and feet, they bent is great on their hands!!!

    • mozemoua, I thought of the same thing because when she does smile she looks radiant. Perhaps she was a little shy. 🙂
