Fish Pond, My Garden

My Garden May 24, 2010

I came home at lunch time to shoot the video and take photos of my garden.ย  The nature sound of birds and waterfall that you hear in the video are the sounds from my garden, it’s a lot louder early in the morning or late evening.

A nice place to sit and relax, it’s shady in the evening.

My Vietnamese neighbor across the street gave us this water plant, the fish absolutely love it.

My sister Bee gave me this plant, the buds came out several weeks back and I patiently waited to see the flowers. I saw the first bloom last Friday.

It’s over 6 feet tall.

My Bamboo trees are doing exceptionally well after I re-potted to a bigger pot.

I have to say that the rain does wonders.

Little wonders, I can’t wait to pick these grape tomatoes.

And my pickle cucumbers.

The string beans are coming along slowly.

The peach tree was a gift from PaNoy.

It looks like I received many plant gifts.

    1. Thanks seeharhed, by the end of the summer, I might be known as the Lao paparazzi that chases after plants and little critters. ๐Ÿ™‚

  1. You have a very nice garden.

It looks like you can go home for a fresh and healthy salad at lunch time.

    1. Kim, I do go home for lunch and enjoy eating fresh vegetables from my garden. In the next few weeks, I will be able to have spicy cucumber salad as well. It’s too bad my lunch hour is not long enough, I would love to have 2 hours break like the European. ๐Ÿ™‚

  2. I can see why people give you plant gifts. They know the plants will be going to a good home! You’ve created a lovely garden.

    1. Hi Gerry, I didn’t mention in my post that the bamboo was from the local temple, the mesclun lettuces and beet seeds were from a friend in CA and I’m getting more seeds. ๐Ÿ™‚

It’s nice to see things grow so nicely and thanks for your nice comment. “)
