Chickens at River Bend Farm

On Saturday we visited the River Bend Farm at Biltmore Estate, and they have some funky looking hens.

I’m not sure if she could see where she is going.

I did a video of this one, she sounds like she is nesting, otherwise she is try to tell me to get out of her hen house.

Fresh eggs, these hens lay white eggs.

This one looks like a fur ball.

  1. Nye – amazing photos and chooks! Beautiful. I am going to link to my twitter if you don’t mind.

  2. Your chicken photos are great! I can imagine these in a “Country Living” magazine too.

Victor must be from Australia as they refer to chickens as “chooks”. I just found that out recently from reading a garden/farming book from Australia.

    • Cambree, it’s very difficult photographing chickens, they move around so much but I’m glad that I got a few. I look forward visiting them again next time, also time for us to renew our season pass. I’ve not visited their grape vineyard yet. šŸ™‚

  3. Hee hee..yes, I am from down under, Cambree. Actually the furthest and southernmost state – Tasmania.
