One Million Hits!

Achieving 1 million hits is a big deal to me because Nye Noona is a personal blog, I blog about my life, my interests and anything in between and certainly didn’t expect this kind of traffic.  My goal was to achieve this before my 3 year anniversary, November 26, 2009, but you all have been very kind and tuned in more often than expected, a big thanks to all. 😀

  1. Ever since I started to use my own domain, I don’t count hits anymore – it seemed pretty unirrelevant to my blogging at all. I just blog, read and reply comments.

    Congrats!

    • K, I still think that the best things in life are free, absolutely love the free version of WP, although they still have lots of problem with their stats lately, so this 1 million hits was understated, but I’m still happy.

Since you host your own blog, I’d have thought that you would check your stats more often, for many stats means readers, which means more Ads revenue, right?

      • No Nye, I don’t get any revenue for my blog, just regular readers. The Ads you see are dummy, haha, I don’t how much they are worth but when I first received my Google ID, it isn’t picking up much. I would prefer the FREE WP back at least I don’t need to worry about upgrading the never ending WP updates. However, what I like about self-hosted is that I can tweak my template, that’s all.

        • K, I heard that most don’t get much revenue from blogging, even if the Ads were not dummy, but I think to some it’s the sense of ownership also, you’ve full control of your blog, and this might not be a good idea since I’m not that techie, the free version will do for me.

  2. Congrats! Wow, that is a lot of hits. Now imagine if each hit equals to a dollar. Ahhhh…. wouldn’t it be nice??

By the way, I posted the Loy Khatong Pictures. 😀

    • Hi lady0fdarkness, I think we all know that it doesn’t pay to blog, but most blog because they love to share.

I’ll check out your Loy Khatong post, thanks. 🙂

  3. Wow, that is certainly a lot of visiters to get in only three years, but I am not surprised; your posts are always very informative and useful for a wide audience, and your photos interesting. Congratulations!!

    • Hi giiid, thanks. I used to blog by myself the first year or so, and used to get less than 100 hits per day, but I’m glad that I stick with it and it has become a place that I share my photos with readers, friends, and families. 🙂
