ELLE Fashion Week Autumn/Winter 2008 Thailand – Hook’s by Prapakas

Hook’s by Prapakas -Tent @ Central World, October 18, 2008, 15.00

“I’m proud to be a part of this since my first time, and it’s such an honor to be a part of the 10 year Anniversary celebration of ELLE Fashion Week.”

The past summer Hook’s by Prapakas had presented beautiful collection.  This season, Khoun Prapakas Ungsusing, a designer that admits that he loves to design clothing that follows trends, but is willing to break the rule, has returned once more to stress his success with his new brand.  His inspirations came from various design pieces from his favorite designers, with a fun creative detail and usage of various materials that is uniquely known as Hook’s by Prapakas.

Please see a full collection, and detail shots here.

A special thanks to Mr. Nattawat (Jade) Chearananta, and the ThaiCatwalk photographers at ThaiCatwalk.com, for allowing me to use their photos and write-up of the event in Thai Language, translated by Ginger.

  1. As you can see, I’m not much of a fashion critic, my mouth drops open once in a while, but that’s all I could do. 😉 I only translate as to how the designers want to present their collection. I cover all the shows, so I hope visitors (readers) won’t get bored, only half way there.

  2. that’s very unique! I love the last photo; the black dress. I’m not much of a fashion critque either, actually… I’m not a fashion anything. I don’t even know what styles are out there lately.. I just throw on a blouse and a skirt and I’m done.

It’s kinda funny how back when I was in junior high school, I wanted to be a fashion designer… I guess because back in the early 90s, models and fashion was huge and my innocent mind thought that I’d make lots of money and could take care of my mother for life. But… ughh… I dunno the first thing about designing.

  3. lady0fdarkness, when I fist started blogging about fashion, it was very difficult, and translating from Thai to English is very difficult for me because Jade at ThaiCatwalk uses big Thai words that I’ve never heard before, but I’m better now but it’s still very difficult for me, the traffic is extremely good with fashion blogging.

I do appreciate fashion more now and have a good perspective, but I usually dress very casual and conservative, more for comfort than style.
