I thought that was a rather large baby Robin when I saw her 2 days ago, but it was the mother Robin nesting her eggs. Bo said that there are 4 eggs in there, I only saw 2, and 4 is a strange number because I had only seen 3 eggs in the past.

This was at 7:30 this morning, the mother a father kept a watchful eyes over us. I think this one is the father, he has a darker and deeper color chest.  The animal male specie is more beautiful than the female.

This one is the mommy Robin, she wasn’t happy when I went near her nest.  I won’t go near it again until the eggs hatch.

It was difficult to get a clear shot, they were too far away.

Bo spotted a baby robin mommy Robin today, I’m sure there are 3 in there.

The nest is at the same bush as last year, but it has gotten a lot taller this year. While I was taking some pictures, the mother Robin was nearby.

Updated: August 15, 2009: The last baby Robin left the nest today, I was going to take some picture yesterday but the father and mother Robin were very aggressive and I didn’t want them to poke my eyeballs.  I’m glad that this nest worked out for them, and I’m not sure what I am going to do with it yet, either remove it or fix it so it’ll be sturdy for the next nesting.

Updated August 13, 2009: Just yesterday, they were very little, but today it looks like they’re ready to spread their wings and fly.  I’m happy to say that I saw all three baby Robins, but a bit crowded in there, especially when the nest is tilted sideways.

I think the baby Robins and the mommy Robin get used to me by now, the mother is busy looking for worms to feed her babies.  The baby Robins have grown some since I last posted their photos, the one in the middle looks like s/he is singing.

Updated 4/30/2009: When I left for work this morning, I saw the baby Robins standing up to appear as if they were testing their wings, ready to take off, and when I came home for lunch, sure enough the baby Robins were gone.  I looked around,  one didn’t make it very far, still on my front porch.

The Paeonia ‘Scarlett O’Hara’ that we purchased from Plant Delights Nursery in Raleigh, NC whilst visiting a friend 3 years ago is in bloom.  It’s a perennial plant and this year, it looks a lot healthier than last year.  I think it was during mother’s day when we bought this, and our friend was having a mother’s day cookout and invited my mom.  He and his wife had planned for us to visit the nursery, they only open to the public at certain times of the year.
