• Brenda Lee – Rockin’ Around The Christmas Tree

When we got stuck in traffic last Saturday at Tanglewoods, I kept thinking about the people that live nearby, it must be very difficult for them to get home during this time of the year.  Bo mentioned about McAdenville, NC that’s not too far from us, and  it’s known as a Christmas Town USA, everyone in town decorate their houses during the Christmas holiday season. I’d love to see this in person, but I don’t know if we’d have time this year or not, and the good thing about this is that the light display is free.

McAdenville is a small textile town, with several plants located in town, and several on the outskirts.   The plants operate 24 hours a day, with the night shift changing at 10 pm. I’d imagine that there would be a heavy traffic since thousands visit the town to see the light display, one of my co-workers said that her family go there every year, so the heavy traffic created by the lights would make it impossible for employees to get to work on time, or those trying to get home might get stuck in traffic for hours.

I’m glad that I don’t live there, I’m not very big on Christmas decoration, we only have 2 deer in front of our house, too embarrassed to even post my picture.
