Lee wanted the biggest pumpkin that they had at the pumpkin patch, but it was too expensive and heavy to carry.

And when she got home, Bo helped her carve the Jack-O’-Lantern, this photo was taken with Bo’s iPhone, she was sitting on the dining room table hard at work.

Oh, that’s a nice pumpkin. She did a great job. How’d she like the slimy insides?

Hi Scott, she didn’t like the slimy part at all and thought it was gross, but if you noticed her other hand, she wore surgical gloves.

Nye, looks like Lee is collecting the seeds. Are you guys going to cook it up later? I used to love carving up pumpkins. My brother took his daughter to the pumpkin patch too this past weekend. Maybe I’ll try to steal some pictures from them and post on my site:-).

seeharhed, she is collecting the seeds to plant in the garden, I was working out there Saturday evening and she came out with her garden box and seeds ready to plant, Lol. I told her she has to wait till spring time, I don’t know if she planted some while I wasn’t looking.

Nice carving there. I wonder if she had little help.
We went to the pumpkin patch too last weekend but didn’t get any pumpkin there. We got it cheaper at the local grocery store.

Dallas, I think she got a little help.
I think picking out the pumpkin at the pumpkin patch is a lot more fun for the kids, it’s not about the money but more so of the experience that money can’t buy and it’s priceless, you need to let them do that the next time and you’ll see what I’m talking about.

lee did a good job. hmm.. I think it’s too late to carve a pumpkin for us. Actually, I never really carved one before.

lady0fdarkness, it’s not too late, you still have until Halloween, and I think it’d be a fun project for you and your little girl. Bo drew the face first before he cut, you should give it a try.

Lee did a great job on picking the pumpkin and carving it too!
I used to look forward to carving pumpkins when I was younger. This year I just got a mini pumpkin and draw faces on them instead.

It´s fun to make these kind of things together. Will it be used with light for a long time, or just once?
