I noticed earlier this week that the paddies are very green and thought that the owner might have fertilized them or something, so I visited the paddies again yesterday after work.

I looked around and spotted my first rice pods.

There are more rice pods in the middle paddy.

Apparently I’m not the only one that spotted them…

mozemoua, I was sadden to read about what has happened to your dad’s old rice paddy, I guess it’s too much work for your aunt to try to tackle this and cheaper to buy rice this day.
I also love the smell of new rice pods, there are just a few section now, so it didn’t fill up the air yet, maybe next Friday I’ll go back to take the picture again.

I would love to see a rice field this time of year.
My mom also said the smell is the best when there are pods. And she also said you never feel lonely out there, only after all the rice have been harvested.
And nice photos too.

Lila, thanks. I bet when I go back on Friday, most of the pods would have come out by then, the aroma would be real strong then, can’t wait.
