When I saw a post at Sim’s blog this morning about Graffiti Research Tags Buildings With L.A.S.E.R. TAG, I thought it was rather cool and interesting, then when I saw it being used to draw image of Jatukarm Ramathep on a building in Bangkok, Thailand, which is one of the biggest symbols there is, I thought people have gone mad. There will be a ceremony performed on the 84th floor.
Jatukarm Ramathep is one of the hottest lucky charms at the moment; I’ve noticed that even Id, lead singer of Pong Lang Sa On was wearing a huge one on Friday. People in Thailand are crazy for Jatukarm Ramathep, why?…because it’s guaranteed to make them rich. I’ve noticed that they were selling it at the Wat (temple) also, my GI Joe sister even has one, and she wouldn’t want to miss her opportunity of becoming rich.
Everyone want to be rich…soaring demand has driven prices through the roof and spawned a speculative bubble so big that some share traders have turned their attentions to the market. So desperate were some to get their hands on a fresh issue of the Jatukarm Ramathep lucky charm – named after a Brahmin deity, a warrior prince of an ancient southern Thai kingdom – that when a new edition went on sale, a woman was trampled to death in the stampede. Source.
I guess it’s a good thing that they placed the Jatukarm Ramathep image in the middle of the city, now people don’t have to own one, let’s just hope that Jatukarm Ramathep will bring luck and prosperity to the Thai economy and it’s people. As for me, I don’t have one and seriously doubt if I will get one, I’m not rich, but rich at heart.
Testing out how sacred is this Jatukarm Ramathep, monk Somchay used a sword to slay Chainath Thipruksa whom held Jatukarm Ramathep over his head, amongst bystanders in Nakorn Sri Thammarat, Thailand, and sure enough he was not harmed, not even a scratch. Source. My advice, don’t try this at home.

Now that makes me want to own a pendant like his. Maybe it’s a good feng-shui token to keep me away from being harmed and sickness. You reckon?

Hi K, it wouldn’t hurt if you could get your hand on it. My GI Joe sister got one over the week of the 4th, and when she got back to work this week, she told me she got a raise, she swore that it’s because of the Jatukarm Ramathep lucky charm. This edition is for making money but it looks like it’s a multi purpose lucky charm, even protecting against sword, but I think there is some sort of ‘Mon’ black magic involved also because Thai people are known for that sort of stuff.
