Did you ever buy used clothes or take used clothes that someone give to you. This is a real life story from Koosang Koosom by Setanee, written in Thai Language, which will make you think twice about used or second hand clothes.

One day, I was at my girlfriend’s house, we were talking about miscellaneous stuff and my eyes caught something pink at the corner of the room. It looked like a pink terry clothes that stick out from a shopping bag; so I asked my friend what it was because the color looked really fresh and pink. She told me it was a bathrobe that someone gave her. It’s not new and she got it out from the bag to show me. It was a pink bathrobe, must be for an American person because it’s quiet big. The fabric was very soft, the color seems more appropriate for female but she told me it was from a ‘Farang’(white) guy, I guess any color would look good on them because they have a light complexion.

I told my friend that it’s beautiful and asked what she would do with it, would she give it to her boyfriend. She said ‘No, It’s second hand, so I’ll cut it up and use it for a floor mat.’ I then busted out ‘Hey, I feel sorry for the bathrobe, don’t do that’ I didn’t know why I said it like that, it’s a bit strange but at the time I really felt like that, so she looked at me and said ‘If you feel sorry for it, just take it, I’ll give it to you.’

So, I took that bathrobe home, I’m not sure what I was thinking, normally I don’t like second hand clothes, or second hand anything as a matter of fact. There must be some sort of chemistry or something between that bathrobe and me; somehow, I wanted to save it from becoming a floor mat. I wasn’t sure what I was going to do with it myself, I really can’t wear it, it’s way too big for me, so I took it home and washed it and hung it in front of the closet just to look at because I like the fresh pink color. People at home all complemented on how pretty it looked, they asked ‘What are you going to do with it?’ My answer was ‘I have no idea, all I know is that I like it because it looks pretty, and I like the color.’ I’m not sure if that’s enough reason to bring something home when I have no used for it.

The world throught my eyes by Woland2006

Sometimes you can tell a person by the books that they read, especially the types of book. The types of book that you read can tell a lot about you, what type of person you are, especially to expert that analyze this might be able to look at you as if you are an open book. I personally think that it’s great for those that love to read, you’ll never feel lonely because you will always have a friend that’s there for you when you feel alone. Most readers have a better chance to become successful in life.

Books are very similar to movies. Your taste of movies reflects the type of person you are, and your personality. Those that don’t like to watch movies would most likely don’t like to read. You probably wondering if there are such people in this world that don’t like to read or watch movies. It’s obvious that you like to read otherwise you wouldn’t be reading this right now. I think some of you might even be a bookworm, which I know I am and not ashame to admit.

I’m positive that there are a great numbers of people in this world that don’t like to read. They’ll read as little as possible, only on things that they need to function on a day-to-day basis, but not reading for enjoyment like you and I. One of my sisters doesn’t like to read or watch movie; she thinks it’s a waste of time. I sometimes wonder what she does for entertainment, but one thing that I know is that she can’t think beyond her own thoughts, and the world revolves around her. She has a very small world and feels lonely most of the time. She has the tendency to be too serious about her life and her work. She seems very successful in what she’s doing, but not very lasting types of success because she gets bored of her job very easily and a bit paranoids about everything.

Nobody knows for certain why we dream. Some psychologists have theories propose that dreams are the body’s way of ‘rebooting’ the brain (sounds and works like a computer.) Dreams dispose of memories that would otherwise clutter the mind with unnecessary remembered experiences. In particular, they enable the emotions to become balance. Dreams get rid of ‘garbage’ in our brain, and allow the brain’s complex chemistry to stabilize. According to this viewpoint, without dreams we would simply overheat.

Doesn’t matter how different we are, what genders, religions or races, what we all have in common are dreams. We all dreams approximately 4 to 5 times a night, each time is a bit longer. Most of us dream every 90 minutes, and the longest dream lasting 30 to 45 minutes, many occur in the morning. If we were awakening during our REM (Rapid eye movements) sleep, we would recall our dreams. If we are awaken during our non-REM sleep, we would less likely to recall our dreams, this may account for why many people believe that they never dream. The truth is, we all dream every night but most of us forget we were dreaming.

I wrote this a while back but never have the opportunity to share with most people. I think it’s somewhat of a healthy way to look at life and living. For me, sometimes it’s easier said than done, but I think some of you might like it.
